Hello! Welcome to Reimagine Banyule
Our primary focus is to encourage waste reduction. We aim to inspire and support community members along their journey towards treading lightly together.
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurundjeri (Woiwurrung language) people of the Kulin Nation who are the Traditional Custodians of the land that is now called ‘Banyule’. The people who are Indigenous to this place know the true meaning of connection, respect and ‘treading lightly together’. We would like to pay our respects to Elders, past, present and emerging, and acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living here today. It is our intention to respectfully walk together and to reimagine our local place and culture so that we can all live in a world that is truly sustainable (again).
Check out the map of local resources that our community uses to ‘tread lightly together’.
