About Us

Community groups & individuals, collaborating with Maribyrnong City Council to create a new community space adjacent to Stony Creek and the McDonald A Reserve, West Footscray.

Stony Creek Commons is a collection of local residents and community groups interested in seeing the Lae Street Nursery Site activated for community use, collaborating with and bringing together community members of all ages who live, work, play or study within the City of Maribyrnong area. We started engaging with Maribyrnong City Councillors in June 2021 to re-imagine and co-design the site into an environmentally-focused space that is inclusive, inspiring and educational.

The site vision is emerging and will be co-created over the coming months.

We encourage you to join us and contribute towards making this a reality.
