White-tailed black cockatoo feasting on Acorn Banksia
Join Transition Town Vincent (TTV) at the Community Food Forest on Sunday 4th May between 3-5pm as we celebrate the WA Tree Festival with a briefing on the Black Cockatoo Pocket Forest Pilot Project and find out how you can get involved. Key highlights will be:
- Briefing on the process leading up to planting day and how you can be involved.
- Tour of the existing Community Food Forest and proposed Black Cockatoo Forest site.
- Walking tour (300 metres) to check out some of the trees which we plan to grow.
- Discussion on the making of compost, biochar and soil microbes which we are producing.
- Forest in a box concept.
- Find out how to get involved.
Please bring:
- Walking shoes, hat and dress appropriate for the weather.
- A small plate to share and drinks.
