About Us
Our group was started in September 2019 by waste-free living advocates and permaculturalists Oberon and Lauren Carter. After an initial letter drop to 1,300 households and a few meetings, our Organising Team developed a vision and action plan. Some of the initial activities that we are planning include a Food Verge scheme, Food Co-op, Passata-Making Day, and Skills Workshops (e.g. on waste-free living, permaculture and composting). Whilst we are operating at the suburb-scale, we welcome streets within our suburb to start their own street-groups.
