Summer Seed Saving with the Hume Seed Library

-- THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED --

Saturday 14th of March 2020 11:15 am

For generations, people have lived off the crops grown from seed they saved themselves year after year, it was most certainly a life skill, but in these modern times of ‘convenience’ it has been taken for granted. In fact, as Vandana Shiva, author and activist, reminds us “growing your own food is a revolutionary act”.

Join Thanisa and Christie from the Hume Seed Library to get the lowdown on how to save and store your summer veggie seeds with confidence, assuring an even bigger and stronger crop for next summer.

Bring some excess produce, cuttings or seeds from your garden for the harvest swap table and get to know other budding gardeners.

Please use the eventbrite link to register, it’s a free event but spaces are limited.
