Permaculture Design
-- THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED --
Sunday 9th of February 2020 1:00 pm
Our guest speaker Rick Coleman will explain the amazing design system that is Permaculture with the ethics and principles that are at its core together with how to design your yard for the new era; from heat stress to drought proofing including species selection.
Rick has been a permaculture teacher and sustainable aid practitioner for nearly 30 years. He has taught on every habitable continent and runs the Southern Cross Permaculture Institute (SCPI)
This will be followed by a fun taste of permaculture where participants get one 10 minute 1:1 consult in the “speed-date a permaculture designer” segment with a room full of friendly permaculture trained teachers/designers from the region with varying amounts of experience and various specialties.
Once booked, we will send you a simple Design Planning & Checklist to fill out and bring which acts as a brief. This is really important to do as it helps you work out what you want and what you’ve got. Just do your best. Doesn’t need to be perfect.
Bring in any ideas, plans or photos (on your phone or USB stick or both) of your preferably urban property. The intention is you’ll leave with some greater understanding of permaculture and some ideas about what you could do with life/home whether you own it or it’s a rental.
You must be a resident in the City of Greater Geelong to book. Sold out – but you can join waiting list
