This sharing workshop will focus on local resources that help us in times of crisis. It starts with a brief but gruesome history of life a century ago when compassion was a much rarer commodity, then goes on to look at some of the compassionate services offered by our governments and big not-for-profits. Then it turns to us: How can we serve each other compassionately? How can we receive compassionate help?
The workshop leader is Anne Tennock. She has many years’ experience in developing local community resilience through Transition Towns, and is part of evolving discussions around ageing, end of life, and building compassionate communities and healthcare systems.
