In Transition Bondi’s first Inner Transition meeting of 2020 we will create a dialogue circle. Meeting with others in dialogue circles offers the opportunity to collectively recognize and process the complex and multilayered dimensions of the existential crisis of climate collapse. Emphasis will be on establishing a safe space where each participant can speak to their experience without interruption, criticism or judgement. In this way participants can support one another to develop resilient and creative responses to the crises that we live in and stimulate cultural change within their networks.
Bio, Patricia Morgan
Patricia is an academic and contemplative with a background in community development and the arts. She received an Australian Government scholarship to complete her PhD and this applied philosophical study of contemplative consciousness in education is the first of its kind in Australia. Through conversations with New Economy Network Australia colleagues her awareness of the direct links between Capitalism, environmental degradation and climate collapse grew. In response she has become interested in climate collapse dialogue groups and the growing area of climate psychology.
