Glen Eira Emergency Climate Action (GECAN) meets monthly to discuss:
– Current campaign activities, such as surveying Council Candidates on their climate and environmental credentials and ambitions
– Council progress on its Climate Action Plan to reduce emissions to net-zero for Council by 2023 and Community by 2030
– Submissions on Council and other (State and Federal) Government plans
– Community engagement and initiatives on emissions reduction
– Plan events and campaigns in collaboration with other local groups
