This is a third party event, organised by Transition Warringal member Kim Koop.
I’m about to start a compassion adventure, when I teach my first CCT class online. This is my final step toward teacher certification, and I can’t wait. Would you like to join me?
CCT™ is an 8-week program, developed at Stanford University, with insights and techniques from psychology, neuroscience, and contemplative practice. The course integrates evidence-based meditation techniques, interactive discussions, and lectures as well as real-world exercises to put learning into practice.
The program is suited to anyone interested in developing their compassion muscle including, but not limited to, people who care for and support others and those in leadership roles.
Compassion Cultivation Training involves:
- Weekly 2-hour class including teaching, discussion, and in-class exercises
- Daily meditation practices
- Real-world assignments for practicing compassionate thoughts and actions
To get the most from the program you will be prepared to actively participate in a 2-hour online class and undertake formal and informal practices each week. Meditation practices are part of the process, but no previous meditation experience is required.
“Throughout the course, we help you lean into challenges, build the courage to take compassionate action, manage your emotions, and develop your resilience to prevent empathy fatigue.
- Improve your personal relationships
- Support health, happiness, and well-being
- Reduce stress
- Make a positive difference in the world” — Compassion Institute.
“The circle of compassion begins with us”.
