Intro Talk on Citizens’ Assemblies

Join Darebin Climate Action Now for this introductory talk on Citizens’ Assemblies, led by DCAN member and founder of the Coalition of Everyone Sonia Randhawa. In both the UK and France, national Citizens’ Assemblies are being held to help elected legislators navigate the climate crisis. In this talk, Sonia will discuss why a Citizens’ Assembly can help bridge party divides and build a consensus around thorny political issues through randomly selected, informed deliberative processes.
