Transition Town Vincent
Kaya. Welcome to the Transition Town Vincent (TTV) website. We are a not-for-profit, non-political community group aligned with the world-wide Transition Town movement. We exist to empower people who want to create a more sustainable future.
We are based in and around the City of Vincent, an inner city local government located adjacent Boorloo (Perth), the capital of Western Australia.
Our Boodjar is Whadjuk Noongar country and includes such landmarks as Galup (Lake Monger) and the Derbal Yerrigan (the Swan River estuary).

Membership of TTV is made up of a diverse group of community members who want to keep our community strong and connected to achieve our broad sustainability goals. While we are based in the inner city municipality of the City of Vincent, Western Australia and our vision is “Strengthening our local community connections and empowering people to tread lightly on the earth.”
We have volunteers with diverse backgrounds who are involved in many community building and education programs, such as:
- Events including Monthly Movie Nights,
- Community Food Forest,
- The Black Cockatoo Forest,
- My Healthy Soils Project
- Tools n Things Library,
- The Potting Shed,
Our members have also run a range of other projects and events such as SOUP nights, community dinners and bicycling events. Check out some of our projects here and group resources here.
We welcome people who share our Vision and can contribute in any manner whether to participate in activities, volunteer, donate or initiate and lead projects. Becoming a member is free and you get to join a bunch of wonderful people making a difference in small and big ways in their community.
